What is Lutheran Disaster Response?

Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR) is collaborative ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.  In North Dakota, the LDR affiliate is Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota (LSS).

The National Office of Lutheran Disaster Response operates through a network of forty different organizations such as LSS ND with which LDR has a memorandum of understanding.

LDR ND responds to disasters in North Dakota and when requested, nationally.  Our focus also includes preparedness as a vital part of disaster response.  At the time of crisis is the time to execute a well-thought out plan, not to devise one.
