EF4 Tornado Strikes
Northwood, North Dakota
August 26, 2007 8:45 p.m.
Lutheran Disaster Response is on the scene
early the next morning. Coordinating over 2,300 volunteers who donated over
17,050 hours to help the 1,100 residents of Northwood becomes LDR's first task.
Cleanup is completed in an amazing 3 weeks span.
Due to winter weather being just around the
corner, replacing shingles and siding is essential. The Rebuild Blitz
Weekend (October 19-21) helped to "Button Up Northwood" but not all was
accomplished by the willing hearts and hands of more than 375 volunteers
donating approximately 3,000 hours.
Now What - Is it all "Buttoned Up"?
For now, the answer is "YES". As the
winter unfolds, additional problems may arise that will be considered to finish
in the spring. Please prayerfully consider helping then.
